Help! My dog's been sprayed by a skunk!

My poor dog has been sprayed many times in the last several years and we have tried every product on the market. Every time a new product is released I rush to the phone to make a connection with the manufacturer or supplier to get some on my shelves, only to be disappointed with the results. The last time my dog was sprayed I decided to hit the internet and see if I could find any new tips on de-skunking my dog. I stumbled upon this recipe and was amazed at how well it worked. I decided since it worked so well that I would share this recipe with my customers and fellow pet lovers.

  • 1 - quart (32 ounces) Hydrogene Peroxide
  • 1/4 cup Baking Soda
  • 1 tablespoon Dawn dish soap.
Mix ingredients into an open top container or bucket as this mixture will fizz up. Be sure to only wet the area of the dog that has been sprayed. Since the skunk spray is an oil you do not want to spread this oil to other areas of the dog. Use a wash rag to wash the area that has been sprayed. If the dog has been sprayed in the face, gently wash the face with a wash rag dipped in the mixture avoiding the eyes and mouth.
A second bath in this solution may be required.
